This is a video from the work I did last year at Games Programming course at Sae Institute of London.

Hello World Experience !

Here are some images from the work we have been doing at my masters in Games Design & Development at National Film and Television School. It is called "Hello World" because it is our first project, also the first time we use Unity and 3D Max
So the task was to build a 3D environment that the player interacts with. So we decided to include some history to make it more interesting. Summarizing, the player is a failed actor, coming back to the theatre that he was the star and now this is destroyed  and abandoned like his career. So we divided this theatre in 8 parts so each student could have it is own place to build. I was in charge to build the Stalls and Circle area, old and new. Two versions were needed because we wanted the place to transform as the player walks from the old into the new.
So here are some pictures:

First week I created a box map to export to Unity and try walk around in this environment, before starting really modeling stuffs.

After this first testing cube map I could see whether or not use the stairs, or elevator and where to add doors to connect with the Lobby, stage and the bar. So I could now start modeling what I know I was going to use. It saved me a lot of time and I could get things done faster.
After modeling the environment in 3D Max I started to work just in Unity.
Lighting and particle effects were added and I could play around with some animations, which for me was the most fun bit.

Specially at the destroyed version of the Theatre, where I could use the most of particle effects, like gas coming out from broken pipes and dust after the chandelier hits the ground.
